Cloud and DevOps
for running your applications.

Give your software a defined path from development to operation. NorroSoft provides cloud infrastructure, deployment automation and server management, with planning for access, monitoring, migration and recovery in new or existing environments.

  • Cloud infrastructure
  • Deployment automation
  • Server management

Make operations explicit

Plan what happens after deployment.

Releasing an application introduces practical questions: who can change the environment, which signals reveal a problem and how will service be restored? We review the application and its dependencies before configuring infrastructure or changing the release process. The scope identifies routine tasks and the people responsible for responding when something needs attention.

Start with a planned launch, a server migration or an operational problem in your current setup.

Cloud and DevOps capabilities

Prepare the environment and its operating process.

Infrastructure configuration, release procedures and system care can be scoped together or around a specific need.

Talk through your requirements

Cloud infrastructure setup

Configure application environments, networking and access controls around the services the software depends on. Document the setup and account for expected resource use and future configuration changes.

  • Application environments
  • Network and access configuration
  • Infrastructure documentation

CI/CD & deployment workflows

Create a repeatable release process with the build steps, checks and approvals appropriate to your application. Define movement between environments and how a previous version can be restored where feasible.

  • Build and release pipelines
  • Release checks and approvals
  • Rollback planning

Server management

Organise server configuration, system maintenance and operational monitoring. Agree which alerts matter, who receives them and how application or infrastructure issues are investigated.

  • Server configuration
  • Monitoring and alert handling
  • Maintenance procedures

Migration, backups & recovery

Plan application and data transfers with verification and fallback steps. Configure the agreed backup process and check recovery procedures against the scenarios included in the scope.

  • Application and data migration
  • Backup configuration
  • Restore and recovery checks

Example release process

Give each deployment a reviewable route.

Consider an application currently deployed through manual server commands. A release pipeline could build a version, run agreed checks and make it available in a review environment. Production deployment would follow the required approval. Monitoring and rollback instructions would be prepared alongside separate handling for database changes.

  • Separate permissions for development and production.
  • Define which checks and approvals permit a release.
  • Account for changes that cannot be reversed by restoring code.

  1. BuildCreate the release from the agreed code version.
  2. VerifyRun checks and review the prepared application.
  3. DeployPublish the approved release to the production environment.
  4. MonitorReview system signals and investigate unexpected changes.

Illustrative deployment workflow; checks, approvals and recovery options depend on the application.

Infrastructure delivery

Leave a setup the operating team can understand.

Verification and documentation connect the implementation to the people responsible for using it.

  1. Review the environment

Map applications, data stores, dependencies and access. Discuss release frequency, recovery needs and recurring issues to establish the priorities and constraints.

What you leave withEnvironment assessment and work plan
  2. Configure and check

Implement the agreed infrastructure, release workflows and monitoring. Check access, deployments and recovery scenarios, recording findings relevant to operation.

What you leave withConfigured environment and verification record
  3. Document responsibilities

Prepare guidance for routine tasks, alerts and changes. Agree the responsibilities of your team and any ongoing support, including coverage and escalation arrangements.

Before we begin

A few things
you may be wondering.

Have a different question?
Let’s talk it through

Can you improve our current cloud or server setup?

Yes. We review the existing environment and the problem you want to solve. Work may focus on configuration, deployment automation, monitoring or backups within that setup. A migration is considered when the requirements justify it.

Can you automate deployment without rebuilding the app?

In some cases, deployment automation can be introduced around the existing build and release process. We need to review how the application is configured, its data changes and external dependencies before defining the required work.

What is included in ongoing server management?

The scope can cover agreed maintenance, monitoring and issue investigation. Access, responsibilities, coverage and escalation are documented for the environment. Backup arrangements, recovery expectations and any service levels need to be specified in the agreement.

What needs to change in your application environment?

Tell us about the current setup, the planned release or the recurring issue. We can define the infrastructure work it requires.
